Haj! (That's Swedish for hello.) Well, it's official.....The Graber family will be leaving in October and moving to Sweden for 10 months. Cyle's job at Skanska is bringing us to Sweden. He is currently in a leadership training program, and the program requires that all participants move away for a period of time so they can acquire a global view of the company. Stockholm is the headquarters of Skanska, so Cyle is excited to work at the headquarters for a short time. He will have to travel a lot for his job, so we hope to get to see a lot of Europe while we are there. I was fortunate to be given a year's leave of absence from teaching, so everything has worked out for us. Cyle and I are excited for the opportunity as we both love Europe and can't wait to immerse ourselves into a foreign culture. The company is providing us with a furnished apartment, so all we have to bring is our clothing. However, trying to pack 10 months worth of clothes into two suitcases is not going to be an easy task. To prepare, Belle had to get her passport and we all had to apply for visas.
We have also been trying to learn Swedish through Rosetta Stone language program, but we haven't learned more than basic words. I don't think being able to say the girl is eating will get me very far. Oh well, as long as we can order pastries, I think we will be okay!
