I love it that the Swedes are very orderly people (if you know me well, you know why I like this). I learned very quickly about the number queue system. From the pharmacy, post office, to the local grocery store’s meat counter, you take a number to be served. Many businesses have a ticketing system – usually a small hard-to-find machine hung on a wall that dispenses number notes. Once you grab your ticket, you’ll have to wait until your number shows up on a screen before you can proceed to the counter.
